You really don't need anything special to swaddle a baby! Just a big square of flannel (like 40"x40") will do nicely. If you find it hard to get a super tight swaddle, or if your baby seems to always work his arms free, you can use a separate narrow rectangle of flannel (like 8" x 24") to hold his arms inside the swaddle. I make swaddling sets like this for friends all the time, and my husband made a silly video that explains how to do the swaddle. I did a blog post about it here.
