Fingerless Gloves

I'm trying to figure out what to call these. Wrist warmers? Wrist cozies? Fingerless gloves sounds too technical to me. Anyway, I thought I'd take up crocheting for a change. After a little research online, I was able to whip up a pair of these babies. I'm obsessive about keeping my hands warm in the winter and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need my fingers to grab and replace pacifiers and sippie cups.

Crocheting is awesome especially during fall TV premiers. My hands stay busy and productive and I don't miss out on any shows. Also, it's really hard being your own hand model.

Hey! Remember me? I don't remember how I stumbled across your blog but I've been watching your other blog for a while. I just found this one this morning and it totally reminded me of our wall in our bedroom at school! Remember the Beatles posters we had hanging up? AWESOME! I love the Beatles but I can't listen to them (or the Forest Gump soundtrack) without thinking about you and the wall we decorated at school. Anyway, thought I'd drop you a line. :)

Hey, these look fun to make! For a VERY novice crocheter like me...could I do it? What size need and what pretty yarn did you use?

You can absolutely make them!
I couldn't really remember how to crochet at all before I tried it. I used a series of youtube videos found here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymehw_eThw4&feature=fvw

I didn't follow the videos exactly though. I used an F hook instead of what he used and I didn't do the fancy stitching at the end. I just finished it off with a regular single crochet. I can't read crochet patterns so the videos were great.

I just used some regular yarn from the craft store. Not too thick because the F hook is somewhat small.

Maybe you could make some for your etsy shop so I can just buy them . . . . . my crocheting skills are crummy, just ask Molly.
