Cirlces

I hate to admit that this wall was painted a deep brownish red 10 months ago, yet I just got around to hanging something on it. {I have committment issues.} I actually had these fabric filled embroidery hoopns in mind for some time, and I actually have had the hoops painted brown for about six months. The problem was committing to fabrics. I am really happy with how it turned out, and I can always change the fabrics if I decide I like something else better. One night I lost several hours of sleep while debating the color scheme over and over in my mind.
If you are wanting to try this project for yourself, here is how I did it. I purchased a fat quarter for each embroidery hoop. You may want to run an iron over these first. Next I layed the fabric smoothly over a piece of batting, and secured it in the hoop. Lastly, I trimmed the edges of the fabric and the batting very close to the hoop. When the hoops are hanging, you can see a bit of the raw edge of the fabric from the side. If this bothers you, I think you could just cut the fabric about an inch from the hoop, and hot glue it to the inside of the hoop.
